Carmen Austin, age 90, of Rogue River, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at her home.
Private services have been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Carmen was born March 15, 1917 in Orchard, Nebraska to Willis & Vernetta Bowen. She graduated from high school in Omaha, Nebraska. On August 29, 1942 in Seattle, Washington she married Milton Edwin Austin, who preceded her in death in 2003. In December 2004 she moved from Antioch, California to Rogue River.
While living in Denver, Colorado she volunteered at the Botanical Gardens.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage which she played everyday until last week and always beat her niece, Pam. She was an avid fan of ladybugs and enjoyed dogs and gardening.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Steven & Cynthia Austin of Rogue River; a niece, Pam Ward of Rogue River; and a nephew, Douglas Martin of Denver, Colorado.
