Carlos Celestino Alameda, age 68, of Cave Junction, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Fair View Transitional Health Center.
A family service will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 20009 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Cave Junction. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Carlos was born January 23, 1941 in Lajas, Puerto Rico. At age six, he moved with his family to New York. For 22 years he served as an electrician in the United States Air Force until his retirement as a Tech Sergeant in October 1988. In January 1994 he moved from Apple Valley, California to Cave Junction.
He loved to fish and make items by hand.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Barbara Alameda; three sons, Michael Alameda, Mark Alameda and Peter Alameda; two daughters, Marisa Bynum and Shanna Ingersoll; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson.
