Carl Eugene Waggoner

Carl Eugene Waggoner, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Monday, December 30, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

A funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Pastor Tom Harvey officiating. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Carl was born February 10, 1923 in Jasper, Missouri. He grew up and attended high school in Jasper. In 1941 he moved to Baker City, Oregon where he enlisted in the United States Navy, served for 20 years as a ship’s cook, and was honorably discharged as a CS1 E6. On May 26, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada he married Cora N. Rose. They lived in San Diego, California for 25 years. In 1986 they moved from San Diego to Grants Pass.

Carl was a member of the Fleet Reserve and a church group led by Tom Harvey.

He especially enjoyed fishing and gardening.

In addition to his wife, Cora Waggoner of Grants Pass, Oregon; he is survived by a daughter, Georgeann Buckel of Grants Pass, Oregon; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
