Carl Edwin Peterson, age 98, of Rogue River, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2009 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2009 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Father Felix officiating.
Carl was born March 18, 1911 in Onalaska, Washington and graduated from high school there. In 1950 he married Iva Baum and later divorced. In 1987 he married Rosalia Banares. Over the years he worked for himself in real estate, logging, and excavation.
He donated the property where the Wimer School was built. He enjoyed giving away vegetables from his garden and firewood.
He enjoyed flying, tree farming, gardening, painting, golfing, fishing, traveling, and farming. He traveled around the world and loved nature.
In addition to his wife, Rosalia B. Peterson; he is survived by three children, Carol Peterson Clark, Arlene Peterson Wytcherley, and Victoria R. Chavez; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Peterson & Anna Brookland Peterson; a sister, Eva Peterson; three brothers, Efram, Gus and Pete.
