Budd George Fosmore

Budd George Fosmore, age 85, of Cave Junction, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his home.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Budd was born on August 20, 1923 in Sheridan, Michigan to Budd & Eva Fosmore and moved to Oregon when he was two years old. In 1942, he graduated from Marshfield High School. During World War II he served in the United States Army Air Corp. In 1974 he moved from Sutherlin to “The Valley” where he worked as a banker at Western Bank. He then retired from banking after getting his brokers license and started a new career as a real estate broker and co-owner of Oregon Mountain Realty in Cave Junction. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

His memberships included the Lions Club and Illinois Valley Golf Association.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Doris Fosmore of Cave Junction; two daughters, Janet Trozelle and husband, Joe of Cottage Grove, Carolyn Fosmore of Grants Pass; a son Brice Fosmore and wife Becky of Forest Grove and five grandchildren, Lacy, Abby, Coby, Rose and Joseph.
