Bruce James Sanders, age 63, of Grants Pass, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Three Rivers Medical Center.
All those who knew Bruce are welcomed by his son, Michael Sanders, to the 'Celebration of Life Event' on Saturday, February 22nd at 3:00 p.m. at the Riverside Inn on 7th street, Oak Rooms 1 and 2. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Bruce was born February 22, 1950 in San Francisco, California to William MacGregor Sanders & Bernice Jane Lindsay and was a surviving twin. In January 1972 he graduated with an Associate’s degree in music from Canada College in Redwood City, California. He later graduated with an Associate’s degree in human services from Rogue Community College. He was a treatment specialist for Family Solutions.
Bruce was a professional musician and played the saxophone, keyboard, flute, guitar, and harp. He was a vocalist in local bands, including Mechanics, Herman Burman, Burn, Full Tilt and Poor Edgar. His hobbies included music and astrology.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Jan Sanders of Grants Pass; ten children, Stephen Kern, Jennifer Kern Zickler, Michael Sanders, Rachel Sanders Williams, Christian Sanders, Topanga Sanders, Reilly Sanders, Spencer Sanders, Trenton Sanders, and Chelsea Sanders; three brothers, William “Sandy” Sanders, Steve Sanders and Lee Peters; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant twin brother, Paul.
