Brinda Lynne Bowers, 48, of Selma, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born on December 22, 1958 in Trona, California to Elvy Lee and Barbara Ann (Weimer) Robinson. In 1976 in Downey, California, she married Richard J. Bowers, Sr., who survives. In 1983 she and her family moved to Selma from Pasadena, California. From 1996 to 2000 she worked Three Rivers as a Phlebotomist II.
As a family, her husband and two children were active with Special Olympics. She traveled with nine Olympians to Eugene to compete in Basketball, Bowling, Track & Field and Baseball. She also was a gleaner to get food for lower income families.
In addition to her husband, Richard Bowers, Sr. of Selma; survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Bowers of Grants Pass; her son, Sgt. Richard Bowers Jr. of Fort Drum, New York; her mother, Barbara Carlson of Cave Junction; two brothers, Michael Kristopherson of Cave Junction; and John Kristopherson of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Robinson on September 18, 2007.
