Brian Hugh McNeeley, age 76, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Rogue Regional Medical Center.
Brian was born on June 29, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to John & Norma McNeeley. Brian was educated by the Jesuit Priests in Brooklyn. He worked for The Daily News in Manhattan as a pressman for 30 years. He later worked at the Long Beach Telegram in California because he loved the sunny weather. At age 44 he retired. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and lived there for 16 years and then moved to Oregon in 2003.
The family grew while in Oregon and he enjoyed being close to his grandchildren where he endured the cold weather months.
Brian was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Grants Pass and he enjoyed being a union worker.
Brian loved to cook due to his Italian heritage. He was an avid follower of New York Mets Baseball Team and the New York Jets Football Team.
Survivors include his wife, Donna McNeeley of Grants Pass; children, John McNeeley, Karen McNeeley, Shawn Unruh, Ginger Unruh and Shane Unruh; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas, Sabastian, Timothy, Nathaniel, Alec, Aidan and Seth
Private family services will be held.
