Bonnie D. "Rusty" Lyons

Bonnie D. “Rusty” Lyons, age 83, of Cave Junction, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Illinois Valley Funeral Directors with Pastor Dan Robinson officiating.

Rusty was born November 5, 1928 in Long Beach, California to Clyde & Mary McClendon. In 1991 she moved with her husband of 60 years, Lewis Lyons from southern California to Cave Junction.

Back in the day, Rusty enjoyed being involved with the PTA, doing leather work (making badge holders, wallets, etc for Lew and other police officers); candle making; knitting; RV traveling; motorcycling; Long Beach Police Sub Station North reunions ; lunch with her gal pals; and shopping.

In addition to being a loving wife and mother; Rusty loved her kitties, taking in strays and spoiling them to the best of her ability.

She is survived by her husband, Lew Lyons; a son, Steve and wife Terri; and two daughters, Laurie and Sally all of Cave Junction; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
