Bob Jones, age 68, of Merlin, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
A memorial gathering and potluck will be from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Fruitdale Grange with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ev Denniston officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born April 3, 1940 in Pomona, California to Morris & Jennie Jones. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Rogue River and later graduated from Rogue River High School. In 1968 he became a member of Operators & Engineers Union Local 302 as a heavy equipment mechanic in Anchorage, Alaska. He continued to follow his love of his career as a mechanic in Hawaii, Washington, California and Oregon.
His passion for building, repairing, and having fun was shared through Rogue Valley Classic Chevys. His passion for cruising, hamburgers, and milkshakes was shared with friends and family. He touched those whoever came in contact with him.
Bob loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, jeeping, hunting, and spending quality time with children and loved ones.
He was a member of Merlin Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ron Robert Jones; a daughter, Stacee; two brothers, Marvin Jones and Allen Jones; a sister, Janice Cornet; and two grandsons, Cassidy Jones & Dalton Jones.
