Blanche Kightlinger, age 80, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at home.
A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2008 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Monsignor Gregory Moys officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, 1131 NE 10th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.
Blanche was born September 21, 1927 in Tenafly, New Jersey to Matthew & Isabel Boland. On January 29, 1949 she married Elwood Kightlinger and together they raised seven children in Westwood, New Jersey. After her children were grown, Blanche worked as a cashier for Sears in Paramus, New Jersey. In 1991 she and her husband retired to Grants Pass.
She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
Blanche loved reading, cooking, sewing, needlework, shopping, listening to music, and using the internet. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include seven children, Patricia Mac Millan of Fair Haven, New Jersey, Janice Ebel of Rogue River, David Kightlinger of Hugo, Laura Ryan of Oakdale, New York, Sharon McHugh of Southold, New York, and Steven Kightlinger and John Kightlinger both of Grants Pass; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Kightlinger in May 2007.
