Billie Gene Loffer, age 68, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his home.
Billie was born January 3, 1947 in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1962 he moved with his family to Coos Bay, Oregon and graduated from Marshfield High School. For two years he served in the United States Army. In 1968 he moved to Grants Pass and on November 3, 1969 he married Judy Fay Pruitt. After his military service was up he worked for Roy Davison from 1968 to 1979. He then went to work for Harold Fahey of Pat’s Sanitation now Southern Oregon Sanitation until his retirement in February 2010.
Billie was always willing to help someone in need. If something was broke; he would fix it.
His hobbies including fishing, hunting, and gardening. He especially loved to spend time with his 18 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and his dog, Roxanne.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Fay Pruitt Loffer; four children, Donald James Loffer, Jeannie Lynn Loffer Davis, Audra Kay Loffer Waite and Randy William Loffer all of Grants Pass, Oregon; two sisters, Wanda Nukusuk and Donna Messenger both of Coos Bay, Oregon; three brothers, Sonny Loffer of Grants Pass, Oregon, Eddie Hess of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Dale Hess of Missoula, Montana; 18 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at The Point Building, River Valley Community Church, 290 NE C Street. (Corner of 8th and C)
