Billie G. Nance

Billie G. Nance, age 68, of Grants Pass, died Monday, September 28, 2009 at his home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Billie was born February 8, 1941 in Earlimart, California to Roy & Lola Nance. He served in the United States Navy for six years. On March 27, 1962 he married Nancy J. Sanders in Reno, Nevada. He worked as a diesel truck mechanic for Oakland Scavengers/Waste Management for 27 years. In 1999 he moved from Vacaville, California to Grants Pass.

His hobbies included camping, fishing and working on cars. He enjoyed his pets, including many birds, fish and chihuahuas.

Survivors include his wife Nancy J. Nance of Grants Pass; two sons, Russell G. Nance and wife Audre of Grants Pass and Mannix Nance and wife Melissa of Vacaville, California; six grandchildren, Meagan Elizabeth, Shaun Michael, Zachary Ryan, William Gene, Gracie Jane, Rebekah Paige and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Chihuahua, Shorty.
