Bill L. Baker, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
Family services have been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Bill was born September 20, 1927 in Garden Grove, California to Harry & Minnie Baker. In 1944 he moved from Garden Grove to Grants Pass. He was a logger/shovel operator for Bennett’s and later Rondo & Pike logging companies. He was a landlord and managed many of his own local properties.
He was a member of the Elks, Northwest Bus Nuts and Converted Coach Association.
His hobbies included woodworking, playing pool, and cars.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Baker of Grants Pass; Gordon Baker of Nashville, Tennessee, Patricia Baker of Grants Pass, and John Baker of Grants Pass; four stepchildren; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances; his parents, Harry & Minnie Baker; four sisters, Birdie, Ora, Delcine, and Lorine “Doodle”; and two brothers, Orville and Clarence.
