Beulah Florence Hollomon, age 97, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at her home.
A visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2007 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Granite Hill Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Beulah was born February 22, 1910 in Greenup County, Kentucky the daughter of Edward Falk and Mary Olive Cremeans. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, George Henry Doersch, in Oregon, Idaho, and California and was given her stepfather’s surname as a toddler. On November 10, 1925 in Weiser, Idaho she married Charles Henry Andrews and they divorced in 1941. From 1925 to 1940 she lived in Weiser and Twin Falls, Idaho. On September 14, 1941 in Reno, Nevada she married James Roosevelt Hollomon, who preceded her in death in 1964 in a logging accident. From 1941 to 1947 Beulah resided in Marysville, California where she did taxidermy work in both Marysville and Sutter, California. From 1947 to 1967 Beulah lived in Glendale and in 1967 moved to Grants Pass.
At different times in her life she was the caregiver for her mother, father, and her son.
She enjoyed artwork and was a gifted artist. She also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include six grandchildren, John Andrews of Idaho; Virginia Dismer of Coal Valley, Illinois; David Andrews of Turner, Oregon; George Andrews of Newberg, Oregon; Kathy Dawson of Newberg, Oregon; and Suzanne Andrews of Beaverton, Oregon; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles H. Andrews Jr in 1982, granddaughter, Sherry Harris in 2005, brother, Archie Doersch in 2000, half-brother, George Doersch in 2006, and half-brother, Gilbert Doersch in 2000.
