Betty Jo Steward

Betty Jo Steward, age 83, of Cave Junction, died May 27, 2023 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford.

Betty was born April 16, 1940 in San Jose, California and moved to Oregon with her parents when she was eight years old in 1948. She married Melvin Steward on August 22, 1956 who proudly served in our US Navy.

Betty Jo Steward was a big part of our community; she worked at a local doctor’s office and worked in the community hospital as a nurse’s aid in her early career. She was an ordained Pastor and pastored the church of New Covenant Teaching Ministry.

She is survived by her children Melvin Steward, Keith Steward and Brenda Stewart.

She is loved and will be missed greatly.
