Bertha Ellen Francom, age 87, of Rogue River, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her home.
Bertha was born May 7, 1925 in Caldwell, Kansas. She attended Heald Business College and was later employed by the Social Security Department. In July 1988 in Reno, Nevada she married Robert Francom, who preceded her in death. She resided in California and Oregon where she raised her children. In 2002 she moved from Pioneer, California to Rogue River, Oregon.
Bertha volunteered with the Rogue River Community Center.
Survivors include two sons, James Glenn Earnest of Twin Bridges, Montana and Michael Edward Earnest of Rogue River, Oregon; a daughter, Becky Jean Holmes of Pioneer, California; a sister, Ruth Marie Trimble of Vallejo, California; a brother, Vernon Darold Wildhaber of Novato, California; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roy David Earnest and a daughter, Annette Ruth Thurber.
