Barbara Grace (Lawless) O’Duane, age 80, of Grants Pass, died February 1, 2024 at her home.
She was born Barbara Grace Lawless to Thomas Matthew Lawless and Grace M. (Mitchell) on May 13, 1943, in Oakland, California. Soon after Barbara’s birth, the family moved to Grants Pass where she was raised and graduated from Grants Pass High School, Class of 1961. In 1964, she married her husband of 30 years, James O’Duane. The couple raised their son and two daughters in Grants Pass. Barbara worked at Fred Meyer for 19 years and retired in 2007.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and participating in local activities. Hobbies included bowling, crocheting, and square dancing.
She is survived by her son Rory Allen O’Duane of Grants Pass; daughters Ronda Sue Ramsey of Grants Pass and Vickie Lynn Beukelman of Terrebonne, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Lisa Moe, Betty Baker, Iva Kovatch, June “Donna” Butler, Bessie Lawless, Ruby Murphy, Marian Harter, Earl Lawless, Robert Lawless, Harold Lawless, Everett Lawless, and Lewis Lawless.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Crossroads on M Street, with private interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.
