Barbara J. Mesman, age 59, of Grants Pass, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at her home.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Barbara was born May 13, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York to Sidney & Stacia Shanman. She was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from high school there in 1970. In 1980 she moved to Grants Pass and on June 9, 1991 she married Greg Mesman. She later attended Rogue Community College. Barbara worked as a waitress for many years at The Water Hole, Riverside, R-Haus, Eric’s and Matsukaze. She also worked at Hallmark; Jim Sigel Automotive; Grants Pass Police Department and Fashion Bug. For the last seven years she operated her own clothing store on e-bay.
Her hobbies included shopping, camping at the Oregon Coast; and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Greg Mesman of Grants Pass, Oregon; survivors include a daughter, Celeste Sandoval and husband Cesar of Rocklin, California; a sister, Randye Jensen-Chenoweth of Ashland, Oregon; and two grandchildren, Macey & Sophie Sandoval both of Rocklin, California.
