Barbara J. Folske (Harouff Dehut), age 78, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at her home.
A viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A recitation of the rosary will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be at 12 Noon with Father Jose Campos officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Barbara was born December 24, 1934 in Alma, Nebraska. She graduated from high school in Hastings, Nebraska in 1951. On February 9, 1952 in Orleans, Nebraska she married Leonard E. Dehut and they later divorced. In 1965 she moved from Nebraska to Southern California with her five children. In 1972 in Anaheim, California she married Joseph Folske who died before her. For 35 years she worked as a typist and proofreader in the aerospace industry. She also sold Avon and Tupperware for 30 years. In 1999 she moved from California to Grants Pass.
Barbara was a life member of the Catholic Church and St. Anne Catholic Church while living in Grants Pass. She was also a member of the Sunny Valley Garden Club.
Her hobbies included reading, sewing, embroidery, canning and making homemade bread.
Survivors include two daughters, LeAnne Dehut of Grants Pass, Oregon and Jeanine Gabriel of Hesperia, California; two sons, Frederick Dehut of Sunny Valley, Oregon and Lawrence Dehut of Grants Pass, Oregon; two sisters, Anita Melson of Murfreesboro, Tennesee and Eleanor Thompson of Quanah, Texas; a brother, Dewitt Harouff of Lincoln, Nebraska; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Dehut in 1982.
