Barbara Frances Handley, age 85, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Barbara is preceded in death by her spouse George Handley, son Gary Lee Handley, grandson Ethan Gonzalez and older sister Majorie Williams. The oldest sibling Norma Jean Gunderson is 90 years old and lives in Corona, California.

George and Barbara both attended Tustin High School in California. They married after Barbara graduated in 1950. The wedding ceremony was held at Tustin Presbyterian Church in April of 1951.

George served in the United States Air Force. Barbara took care of their home and children.

Her family was her legacy and joy.

Children:
Brent Handley, Brenda Hofer, Randy Handley, David Handley, Jeffre Handley, and Kenneth Handley.

Grandchildren:
Apryl Pettengill, Jennifer Ray, Janell Rusconi, Brent Handley Jr., Mathew Handley, David Handley Jr., Sarah Gonzalez, Heather Handley, Jonathan Handley, Kristina Barbara Handley, Samantha Little, Justin Handley, Andrew Handley, Le Krista Collins and Austin Handley were blessed to call her Grandma.

She was also blessed with 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She shared her heart and home with us.

We will always remember her stories, sense of humor, kindness, contentment, and happiness in life.

She was the Matriarch of our family and is greatly loved and missed.

A family service will be held at Granite Hill Cemetery at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 16, 2019. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
