Barbara Ann Bartholomew

Barbara Ann Bartholomew, age 71, of O’Brien, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Barbara was born September 19, 1938 in Oakland, California. On February 4, 1955 in Reno, Nevada, she married Louis Bartholomew. In 1991 she moved from Susanville, California to O’Brien where they lived for 19 years.

For 16 months in Cave Junction she was a member of the Red Hats Club, Junction Jezebels Chapter.

Her hobbies included oil painting, needle point, crocheting, knitting, camping, boating and fishing. She especially enjoyed going on cruises and Branson, Missouri.

Survivors include a daughter, Terri Winkler of Doyle, California; a son, Robert Bartholomew of O’Brien, Oregon; a brother, Alfred Gunter of Cave Junction, Oregon; 2 grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bartholomew in March 2010 and a son, Allen Bartholomew in 1973.
