Bailey L. Hall, age 85, of Grants Pass, Oregon died December 27, 2016, with his daughter and granddaughter by his side at his home.
Bailey was born December 28, 1930, in Hartsville, Tennessee, to Bailey & Ercie Hall.
After completing his Master’s degree, he worked as an Engineer in the aerospace industry. He moved from Sunnyvale, California to Grants Pass 20 years ago.
Staying healthy was important to Bailey. For many years, he used his own equipment and skills to maintain the Cathedral Hills Trails. He also commissioned Grants Pass High School to make and install a picnic table at the trails. At 80 years old, he could still hike and bike ride the trails with ease.
Bailey was a private pilot, enjoyed parachuting, and racing and rebuilding dune buggies, although his greatest joy was spending time with his two granddaughters.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Solorio of Sacramento, California; his son, Keith Hall of San Bernardino, California; brother, Walter Hall of Detroit, Michigan; two granddaughters, Sophia and Josie; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Military Honors will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at top of the Cathedral Hills Trails. Please gather at the parking lot at the end of Espey Road at 1:45 pm.
Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
