Avonia Lee Heizman

Avonia Lee Heizman, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home.

A viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Interment will follow at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1360 NE 9th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.

Avonia was born August 30, 1924 in Hillsville, Virginia where she grew up and graduated from Hillsville High School. In 1944 in Virginia she married Kenneth Watts and they later divorced. In 1957 in Toledo, Ohio she married David Heizman and he passed away in 2006. For many years she worked as a waitress.

Avonia was member of the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Her hobbies included gardening and sewing.

Survivors include three daughters; three sisters; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
