Arlene Edith Johnson

Arlene Edith Johnson, age 88, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

Private interment will be at Granite Hill Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Arlene was born December 5, 1921 in Gold Hill, Oregon to Royal & Edith (Dungey) Cameron. She lived in Grants Pass all her life and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1939. On March 24, 1940 she married Cecil L. Johnson.

Arlene volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Mobile and as a Pink Lady at Josephine Memorial Hospital. She served on the Republican Caucus Committee where she was precinct chairwoman and the Republican Women’s Organization. She also was active with Christian Women’s Fellowship.

Her hobbies included flower gardening, making her yard beautiful; and feeding wildlife.

Survivors include a son, Jeff B. Johnson of Cheshire, Oregon; two daughters, Sharon Pasko of Black Diamond, Washington and Susan Condray of Hillsboro, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Johnson and a granddaughter, Allison K. Johnson.
