Antoinette Tantillo Puma-White, age 88, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.
A Rosary and Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at Hull & Hull Chapel.
A funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at St Anne Catholic Church with Father Dominic Tumusiime officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Antoinette was born on May 4, 1923 in Hammond, Louisiana to Jack & Jenny Tantillo. She was the second child of seven. When she was sixteen, she was the very first Strawberry Queen of Tangipahoa Parish in Louisiana. In 1940 she married and in 1941 she had her first son and moved to California. She then proceeded to have three more children, two boys and one girl. Antoinette worked as an inspector at the San Jose Cannery for approximately 20 years. She moved from Campbell, California to Grants Pass nine years ago.
Survivors include her four children, Guy Puma, John Puma, Mary Joos (Puma) and Manuel Puma all of Grants Pass; a sister, Katie Harris; two brothers, Johnny Tantillo and Frank Tantillo (the oldest); 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren
