Anthony Corriea, age 94, of Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away July 28, 2022, at Three Rivers Medical Center. The youngest of two born June 25, 1928, in Taunton, MA, to John and Rose Corriea. He and his wife moved to Grants Pass in 1970.
Tony was a self made man born of immigrant parents; he learned a lot while traveling across the US as a young man. When he set down his roots in Grants Pass, he became very active in the community, while helping to run the family business, then he moved on to politics. He strived to make things better in the community for all his neighbors. Tony became Commissioner of Josephine County from 1983 to 1987; he then headed up the Josephine County Taxpayer’s Association. Finally, in his late 80’s he continued his politics on the radio.
He is survived by his daughters Diane Corriea- Fisher family, son Jim (Carol) Conlon, Helen (Bob) Bouslaugh, son Dan (Margie) Corriea, daughter Dale Corriea-Rivette, son Don (Sue) Corriea, 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.
There will be no service.
