Andy Watkins

Andrew Craig “Andy” Watkins, age 24, of Wonder, died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Merlin Community Baptist Church. A gathering time of food and fellowship will immediately follow the service. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Andy was born May 11, 1986 in Ashland, Oregon. At age two, he moved with his family from White City to Grants Pass. In 2004 he received his GED. For five years Andy worked at the Grants Pass Daily Courier until he was laid off. He had most recently been taking classes at Rogue Community College.

Andy had many interests included rebuilding a pickup with his grandpa Jack and friend Bob; collecting and playing video games; working out; boffer fighting with his friends; collecting unusual knives and dragons; and hiking with his dog and friends. The hobby he enjoyed the most was drawing and he left many sketches ranging from cartoons to real life. He especially liked anim.

Survivors include an infant daughter; his mother, Denise Shadbolt and her husband George; two sisters, Shannon Hartman and her husband Justin and Alysha Wright and her husband Josh; two nieces; a nephew; and his grandparents, Jack & Sue Hamilton, Gary & Joy Scarborough, and Don & Patty Watkins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Watkins.
