Andrew Thomas Cates

Andrew Thomas Cates, age 43, of Grants Pass, died December 24, 2019.

Andrew was born June 17, 1976 in Grants Pass to Thomas Levi Cates & Cheryl Alice Page Cates. He graduated from Grants Pass High School, class of 1994. He moved to Kennewick, Washington
in 1998 then to Eugene before returning to Grants Pass. He received his pharmacy technician certification. He currently worked as a cook at Kairos.

Andrew especially loved his children. His hobbies included cooking; art, especially oil and water painting; outdoor activities including swimming and going to the park; and traveling the world.

Survivors include his partner K.C. Carr; two sons Jonas Cates and Elliott Cates; his mother Cheryl Cates all of Grants Pass; and two sisters, Desi Cates of Grants Pass and Beth Mathieson of Boise, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of life will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the I.O.O.F. Lodge, 101 SE H Street, Grants Pass.
