Andrew C Duley Jr

Andrew C. Duley Jr., age 91, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

A viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Rivers of Life Foursquare Church, 450 SW J Street, Grants Pass, Oregon with Pastor Rick Gilmore officiating.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Network of Oregon, 2615 Portland Rd NE, Salem, Oregon 97301.

Andrew was born on April 16, 1921 in Balko, Beaver County,Oklahoma to Andrew C. Duley Sr & Millie Jane Duley. The Duley family moved to Gilroy, California April 1935 where Andy graduated from high school and attended Junior College for two years. From 1942 to 1945 he served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. On April 22, 1950 he married his lifetime partner, Ina M. Daniels. Throughout his life he owned multiple businesses in the Bay area before moving from Santa Clara, California to Grants Pass, Oregon on October 31, 1964. He owned a retirement home and began building homes and businesses in the Grants Pass area from 1966 until he retired in the late 1980’s.

Andrew was a member of Rivers of Life Foursquare Church.

He visited shut-ins, was active in church leadership and was a contributor to many local charities.

Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family and attending local high school sports events.

Survivors include four children Bobbie L. Loera of Fruitland, Idaho, Steven K. Miller of Grants Pass, David A. Duley of Elk Grove, California and Andrea D. Jacobs of Grants Pass; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ina M. Duley; a daughter, Linda J. Flores; parents Andrew C. Duley Sr. & Millie Jane Duley; three sisters, Hattie Brake, Ruby Cassity and Daisy Chandler; two brothers, Rosco Feebeck and James Duley.
