Alveen B. Brumley, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Church of Christ, Redwood Avenue. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
She was born Alveen Bethel Terry November 10, 1928 in Paris, Arkansas to John & Mabel (Stubbs) Terry. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas and attended schools there. On July 31, 1951 she married William Grant Brumley. In 1953 she moved from Amarillo to Oregon. She retired from Litton Guidance Control Systems in 1988.
Alveen was member of the Church of Christ.
Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling, puzzles, and going to yard sales.
Survivors include two sons, Leslie G. Brumley of Wilcox, Arizona and Terry L. Brumley of Rogue River, Oregon; a daughter, Wilma Clayburn of Grants Pass, Oregon; a sister, Doris Smalley of Joplin, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
