Allen J. Smith

Allen J. Smith, age 46, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Grants Pass.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Hull & Hull Chapel. A reception will follow at 193 Hieglen Loop, Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements

Allen was born May 17, 1967 in Santa Rosa, California. He was raised in Santa Rosa and graduated from Montgomery High School. He received an Associate’s degree at Santa Rosa Junior College and worked as an x-ray technologist at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Marin General Hospital. In 2005 he moved from Santa Rosa to Grants Pass and worked at Three Rivers Medical Center.

Allen enjoyed outdoor activities including cycling, camping, and hiking. He was a Giants and 49ers fan and also enjoyed fantasy football, card games and hosting Halloween parties. He was a loving father and a friend to many.

Survivors include two sons, Ryan Smith and Trevor Smith and their mother, Kim Smith all of Grants Pass, Oregon; his mother, Donna Clark of Santa Rosa, California; his father, Clark Smith of Powderly, Texas; a sister, Judy Soderstrom and a brother, Keith Smith both of Santa Rosa, California.
