Allen B. Ehr

Allen Bruce Ehr, age 71, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at his home in Grants Pass.

Allen was born October 1, 1951 in Aurora, Illinois to Emery and Helen Ehr. Allen grew up working on the family farm with his siblings and spending time with his grandparents. Shortly after high school, Allen joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, before being deployed to Vietnam and serving through the Vietnam War.

After completing his service, Allen started a family and worked various careers throughout his life. He was a master mechanic, contractor, and hazardous waste technician, from which he retired.

Allen worked hard at everything he did; but most of all he was a loving and dedicated father to his children having spent many years as a single parent prior to remarrying. Allen enjoyed many activities but most of all roller skating. Allen was very passionate about having served his country and supporting fellow veterans.

At the time of his passing, Allen was survived by his wife Audrey Ehr; daughter Tracy Ehr; son Todd Ehr; stepchildren Aaron, Larry and Laurinda Sells; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers Terry and Emery Ehr and sister Diane Ehr. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Allen had an immeasurable love for his family, Jesus Christ and his Heavenly Father.

In lieu of a service, a celebration of life with military honors will be held in the spring.
