Alice Augusta Arasmith, 85, of Gold Hill, Oregon passed away May 25, 2017 at her home. She was born July 19, 1931 to Goldie and Harry Foley of Gold Hill. Alice grew up in the Gold Hill area. She married Keith Arasmith June 18, 1948 in Portland and remained married to Keith for 62 years. They moved back to the Rogue Valley in 1958. In 1974 they purchased Ginns Flowers and Gifts in Medford and opened Ginns Phoenix Florist. They also started ARA School of Floral Design in Medford and Eugene, Oregon.
She loved to cook and no one ever left the house hungry. If someone was sick, or needed help, she would always lend a hand. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Red Hat society. She loved the history of the valley and never forgot a birth date. Alice was a longtime Rogue Valley resident who was well-known in the area.
She is survived by her two children, daughter, Brinda Ara of Portland and son, Tracy Arasmith of Montague, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith and her daughter, Linda. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
