Aleta May Harper, 77, of Wolf Creek died at her home on Feb. 17, 2016. Aleta was born in Owego, New York on October 10, 1938 to Ruby (Coffman) and Ralph S. Robinson. She grew up in Glendale and later Wolf Creek, her mother's home town. She graduated in 1957 from Grants Pass High School, where she met her husband, Robert.
On January 20, 1958, Aleta married Robert L. Harper, and they had 4 sons. She was a homemaker and enjoyed card games, camping, crocheting and helping to raise funds for her sons' scouting and school activities. She was also a member of her church ladies' organizations at the Foursquare Church in Bell Gardens, California and later at the Wolf Creek Alliance Community Church. She is survived by her husband of 58 years; sons, Robert, Jr. (Mary) of Prentice, WI, Duane (Dorothy) of Dover, DE, Ralph (Gloria) of Covina, CA, and Darrell of Wolf Creek; grandson, Jake (Rachel) and great-grandsons, Charles and Toby of Columbia, SC; brothers, Ralph W. Robinson (Virginia) of Fayetteville, NC, and Harry E. Older (Margaret) of Wolf Creek; dear life-long friends, Margaret Adams Raincloud (Robert) of East Olympia, WA, and Doris Bishop Padgett (Royal) of Henagar, AL; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Harry W. Older; brother, Wesley Older (Loeta); and sister, Pearl Older.
A celebration of life will be held at the Wolf Creek Alliance Community Church at 11am on Sat., Feb. 27, 2016, with the Rev. Brian Crawford officiating. A private family interment of her cremains will be held at the Wolf Creek Cemetery later this Spring.
